Grapes: Raised by Nature, the CV Curriculum Vitae comes from a single old vineyard of 100 years, planted with 35 different grape varieties. Facing north, here are varieties such as Rufete, Yellow Ink, Little Maiden Red, Francisca Ink, Sousão, Franca Touriga, Roriz Ink, National Touriga among others. Vinification: CV - Curriculum Vitae Douro Red comes from a single vineyard in the Torto river valley. All grapes are handpicked and selected before being destemmed and placed in stone troughs. All grapes are foot-trodden 2-3 days before the start of fermentation. The wine will ferment in stone troughs and occasionally foot-treading will occur to extract tannins, color, and flavor in a balanced way. The wines are racked into French oak barrels, 75% new (225 liters), for malolactic fermentation and aging. This wine aged 26 months in barrels. The final blend was made in January and the wine aged another 2 months in stainless steel until bottling date.
