Moscatel Favaios

The classic Moscatel Favaios is the youngest moscatel that Adega de Favaios markets but it is also the one that has been produced the longest, practically since the company's foundation. It is vinified in the traditional way, with intense skin maceration, in order to extract as much as possible the aromatic components so characteristic of this grape variety. This contact with the skins lasts for 3 or 4 days until the moment when fermentation must be stopped by adding grape spirit. This mixture of partially fermented must and spirit then undergoes a 3-year aging process, gaining harmony and complexity until the moment the blend is made, which can be enjoyed by consumers.
