Series Malvasia Preta Red Wine 2019

A Malvasia Preta was planted at Quinta das Carvalhas in 2002, facing south. It is characterized by a small, compact bunch with small berries and a thin skin, which made us believe that a fine, elegant wine with a strong Douro character would be born. We were right! And, in order to preserve these characteristics, the fermentation took place in small stainless steel tanks with skin contact, followed by an 8-month aging in used French oak barrels so as not to mask the varietal character of this spectacular grape variety.
