    The brand Tapada dos Monges arises as a tribute to the monks who in the 12th century introduced wine production in the region. The monovarietal Espadeiro appeared in 2006 from a very unique red grape variety – Espadeiro – which gives rise to a wine full of red fruits, quite exotic and fresh.
