Valle Pradinhos Tinta Gorda Reserva RedTypical grape variety from the Mirandês plateau, originating from two plots, one planted on schist soil and the other on granite soil, cultivated in a vase system and approximately 60 years old (considered old vines according to OIV-VITI 703-2024) and planted at an altitude between 500m and 550m. It is believed that the Tinta Gorda grape is a survivor from the pre-phylloxera era, whose preservation was possible due to the geographical isolation of its area of origin and the high productivity of the variety, which led growers to prefer its cultivation. It is a red grape with a thin skin. Resistant to frost due to its late budding, sensitive to fungal diseases, but sensitive to botrytis. It is often compared to Pinot Noir.
