Description
Recognized for producing top-range red wines, Quinta da Gaivosa, a project signed by the Alves de Sousa family, has in recent years turned its attention to the potential of the Douro in producing white wines. Currently, it offers two references, both a faithful portrait of the property's excellent terroir, located in the Baixo Corgo sub-region. The 8-month aging with a touch of wood (30% in 3rd-year French oak barrels) gave it a good mouthfeel volume, maintaining the freshness and minerality required of a great white.
