Quinta De Carvalhais Duque De Viseu White 2023

Duque de Viseu Branco 2021 is a very attractive and elegant wine, full of liveliness - one of the main references of the Dão region for over a decade. Duque de Viseu is a wine produced at Quinta dos Carvalhais, the Sogrape Vinhos project that led the renewal of Dão and today stands as its specialist brand, with a range of quality wines and its own style that reflect the elegance and diversity of the region. After gentle destemming and crushing, the must, properly protected from oxidation, was subjected to static decantation at low temperature for a period of 24 hours, in order to achieve the desired level of clarity. The different grape varieties that gave rise to this wine were then vinified separately in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature of 16ºC, with fermentation occurring over 20 days. 80% of the final Duque de Viseu white batch ages for 4 months in stainless steel tanks and the remaining 20% ages in French oak wood during the same period. After the aging time, the blend is made and the wine bottled.
