Vinification of Porto Barao de Vilar Colheita 2001: The vinification process takes place in stainless steel vats with 1 day of pre-fermentation and maceration and 2 days of fermentation. A Porto Colheita is a wine dated from a single harvest, aged in wooden casks for seven years and bottled on request and order. The Barão de Vilar Colheitas were carefully selected and aged in French oak casks, to highlight a rich and full-bodied structure, with a perfect and elegant balance characteristic of the oldest tawnies.
