Porto Graham's Single Harvest 1994 The year 1994 was extraordinary in the Douro, known for producing one of the 20th century's acclaimed classic Vintage Port wines. Besides the exceptional lots chosen to be bottled as Vintage Port, Peter Symington made a selection of other extraordinary wines from Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta das Lages. He reserved these wines for long-term aging in wine-stained oak casks, with the purpose of later releasing them as old tawny Port wines. Origin of the grapes: Quinta dos Malvedos, located in the Cima Corgo subregion, and Quinta das Lages, in the Rio Torto area. Traditional Douro grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Amarela.
