Michter's 10 Year Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Rye continues the legacy of America's first rye whiskey variety from the first whiskey distillery in the USA (Michter's, originally known as Shenk's). After nearly three years off the market, Willie Pratt, then Master Distiller of Michter's, finally gave the green light to the relaunch of Michter's 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014. The 10-year Rye editions reflect the exceptional results of uncompromising craftsmanship and Kentucky's unparalleled climate for aging extraordinary whiskeys. Often much older than the age stated on the label, only a few selected barrels age with the necessary elegance to be included in these extremely limited editions.
