Alvarinho Soalheiro Oppaco 2022

Oppaco is the first red wine ever made by Soalheiro, representing a new chapter in our history. The goal was to approach the region's red wines in an innovative way. It started in 2013 as a blend of two local grape varieties: the red grape Vinhão ("Sousão" in the Douro Region) and the white grape Alvarinho. Today we also include the red grape Pinot Noir to achieve the perfect balance. This combination highlights the elegance of Alvarinho and the light, fruity profile of Pinot Noir, which softens some of the Vinhão's harshness, thus producing a delicate, elegant wine with a remarkable balance between tannins, alcohol, and acidity.
