Description
Although belonging to the Douro Superior, Mêda has its own character. A region between Dão and Douro, having characteristics of both. A transition soil of schist/granite in an altitude area that can reach 700m. With a climate where it rains more than in the general Douro Superior and temperatures are milder in summer and colder in winter. The grapes are destemmed and crushed directly to the press. Fermentation and partial aging in 700L barrels. Aging in cement tank. Only 9000 bottles were produced.
