Natus White 2023

In the heart of Vidigueira, on the southern foothills of Serra do Mendro, in schist soils with sandy loam and silty loam texture, the vineyards are planted that gave rise to this wine. The traditional grape varieties, mostly Roupeiro, Antão Vaz, and Gouveio, hand-harvested, were foot-trodden in a lagar for 2 days. At the spontaneous start of fermentation, the grapes were pressed and the must kept in traditional Talhas and used oak barrels until the end of alcoholic fermentation. The 8-month aging was done in the fermentation barrels, certified by the Talhas, on full lees, with a slight stirring each month. After decanting, we bottled an unstabilized wine with slight filtration.
