Vinification of Ponte da Barca Vinhão Premium Fedelho Red: Fedelho is the first! Released before St. Martin's Day with grapes harvested only 1 month earlier, it becomes the first wine of the harvest to be placed on the market. Fedelho Vinhão Premium is the most recognized red wine of the Vinho Verde region, whose quality comes from the Vinhão grape variety grown on old vines between Ponte da Barca and Arcos de Valdevez. The vinification is carefully done to extract the highest qualitative potential from the grapes: light maceration, followed by rapid fermentation with the skins, in traditional cement tanks, with selected yeasts and controlled temperature (24-26 ºC). Then, the wine is racked and after a brief aging it is bottled very young to preserve the typical aromas of the variety.
