Quinta Das Bágeiras Cellar Red Wine 2019

Vinification of Quinta das Bageiras Garrafeira Red Wine 2018: the grapes for this wine come from very old vines (over 90 years old). They are fermented for 5 to 8 days in an open vat without destemming (the berries are not removed from the cluster). Then, a remontage is done with wooden masses several times a day until the correct intensity is reached. Next, the wine finishes fermenting in old wooden barrels. While resting, it is clarified and aged in the same barrels for about 18 months. It is bottled without any fining or filtration. All these processes are done manually. It is a wine produced only in years of exceptional quality.
