Quinta Das Bágeiras Pai Abel Red 2017

Winemaking of Quinta das Bageiras Pai Abel Red Wine: since the grapes of this wine provide a parcel with two mixed grape varieties, aiming to replicate the type of planting of a century-old vineyard. Also with this objective, and through display in the vineyard, production was limited to two or three bunches per vine. As grapes of the two varieties, harvested at the same time and without destemming, they ferment for about a week in an open lagar. During this time, remontages with wooden masses were done several times a day until the wine reached the correct intensity. Finally, the wine finished fermenting in used French oak barrels where it aged. Then transferred to a small wooden cask where it remained until bottling without any fining or filtration.
