Quinta Do Cardo Branco 2023

The granitic geological matrix of the Beira Interior Plateau imparts a fresh and mineral character to the wines of Quinta do Cardo. The organic production method of Quinta do Cardo wines, a pioneer in Portugal, allows the preservation of native fauna and flora, promoting the biodiversity of our agricultural ecosystem, with a strong impact on the final quality of the wines produced here. Vinification of Quinta do Cardo White Wine: the fresh grapes, hand-harvested in 12-20 kg boxes, are quickly transported to the winery where they are pressed whole with stems for about 4-5 hours to obtain richer musts with great freshness. Fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 14°C for 4 weeks. After fermentation, the wine aged on the lees, with weekly bâtonnage, until bottling.
