Quinta do Pinto Merlot & Syrah RedThis unique, distinctive, and iconic wine is born from a desire to make a difference. The combination of these two grape varieties, Merlot and Syrah, demonstrates that intention by itself. Two international varieties that, together, create a wine previously unimagined in Portugal. From the art of knowing how to wait, we aged this blend for 12 months in barrels, resulting in a wine with a rich aroma and a full-bodied, elegant palate.Vinification: Night harvest to preserve all aromatic components, followed by destemming and slight crushing. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts at a controlled temperature of 22°C-25°C, with gentle daily punch-downs for better protection of phenolic compounds. After alcoholic fermentation, post-fermentation macerations were carried out for 3 weeks. For 12 months, the Syrah and Merlot aged separately in first and second-use French oak barrels. Before bottling, it underwent no stabilization and only a light filtration was performed.
