Quinta Dos Carvalhais Único Red 2020

Quinta dos Carvalhais Único is, as the name itself indicates, a unique wine, a red from Dão of exceptional quality, the highest expression of the elegance and richness of this brand. Heir to ancient knowledge, Quinta dos Carvalhais combines experience with innovation to create very elegant wines, with flavors of intense delicacy and the unique personality of the region. The grapes were harvested by variety and by plot in 20Kg boxes and vinified separately in stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation took about 8 days, at an average temperature of 28º C, with Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro remaining in post-fermentation maceration for another 8 days. After alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks. This wine underwent aging and maturation in new and used French oak barrels for 18 months. During the maturation phase, numerous tastings were carried out to monitor the evolution of the different wines. The wine was subjected to light fining and filtration before bottling. To preserve its highest quality, it was bottled without cold stabilization treatment.
