Description
To create this wine, the white Moscatel Galego grapes were harvested from old vines at the Quinta dos Castelares estate, located in Freixo de Espada a Cinta, a sub-region of Douro Superior at an average altitude of 600 meters. Schist soils and typical Douro terraces. Vinification of Quinta dos Castelares Moscatel Galego Branco: Manual harvest. Gentle pressing of whole clusters. Fermentation with temperature controlled at 16ºC. Part of it was fermented in French oak barrels with “battonage sur lies”.
