This method gives the rum a unique flavor, combining sweet and spicy notes characteristic of sherry, along with hints of grape and molasses. The result is a sweetened rum, but with well-defined bitter nuances. The expression "El Ron Prohibido" translated into Slovak means "forbidden rum" or "illegal rum." The distillation follows a traditional and ancestral Mexican method, using sugarcane as the raw material.
