Whisky Kavalan Port Cask FinishA Destilaria Kavalan has been a pioneer in the art of single malt whisky in Yilan County, Taiwan, since 2005. Kavalan uses mineral-rich meltwater from Snow Mountain and its whiskies mature under a unique combination of intense heat and humidity, along with sea and mountain breezes. All of this contributes to creating the quality, smoothness, and fruity character for which Kavalan is recognized. Using Portuguese Ruby Port wine casks as the main flavor influence, the Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish single malt is initially aged in specially selected American oak casks and then finished in Port wine barrels. The barrel aging softens the flavors and adds an indefinable smoothness to the whisky. It features a rich body, with natural sweetness and complexity.
